Umu recont

This is my umu recount

Hook I was so surprised that the Umu was cooked on the ground. It was kind of like an oven and it also smelt good. Orientation On Friday it was full of surprises because it was the end of Samoan language week. It was Miss Haslem's last day. Since it was the end of Samoan language week we celebrated it with an Umu. At first I didn’t know what an Umu was, but then I knew. There were parents helping such as Sierra’s grandparents, Ayla and Aden’s parents, Mr T and father and many more helpers. The Umu was cooked on the ground. We had to go to Room Six assembly but I couldn’t wait, so after the assembly we got to check the umu and it smelt nice. It was cool. We all sat and Mr T put up the Samoan flag. We went into the hall and lined up in our rooms. Then Father blessed the food, then we went in a line from smallest to the biggest classes. We all got a plate of food. I tried the chop suey, the rice and pork. I really liked the chop suey but I didn’t really like the pork. I really liked the chopped suey, so I had more of it. It was like noodles with meat and I ate it all up. We wasted our lunch time so we got extra time to play.
