How Ethiopia celebrate Christmas

 


Many people take part in a special Advent fast during the 43 days before Christmas and they clean their house in preparation for the celebration.

Traditional Christmas foods in Ethiopia include spicy stew. Sometimes it contains meat, vegetables and sometimes eggs one of our foods is called douro wit and it is  eaten on a plate of injera, a flat traditional bread.

In Ethiopia, we get together as a family and drink a traditional coffee and it is called buna. Then we open presents and we come together and eat the food on one plate
